AssetVault aims to become  ‘India’s biggest online Wills provider’

Mr Vishnu Chundi, CEO and co-founder of AssetVault:

Five years ago, my uncle passed away without a Will and Testament and I saw the trouble that our family had to go through to figure out what all his assets were and eventually it led to an ugly dispute during their distribution. Our mission is to protect your assets today and tomorrow. We all work very hard to acquire assets-home, car, bank accounts, gold, insurance policies etc. However, we fail to take the time to protect and grow them.

More than 90% of Indian families have no succession plan in place. There is speculation that the government may reintroduce inheritance tax in order to enhance tax revenues and this will impact a lot more Indians significantly. We need to change the perception that Wills are just for the wealthy and people over 60s. Indian millennials have more digital assets today and it’s growing: mutual funds, brokerage accounts, FDs, social media accounts etc. Making sure you assign the right beneficiaries for these is critical as your family may not inherit them automatically. If you have minor children, it is highly recommended that you appoint guardians for them formally through a Will

We are embarking on an rewarding journey to spread awareness and provide financial security to indian families
